CANSTAY International Homestay Courses began in 1989 with a homestay course in Niagara Falls, Canada. Every year we have taken more and more students overseas.

The Peacehaven Course opened in 1996, and was a big success. The focus is on presenting ideas and feelings in English, so we tour the countryside to gather input for the multi-level thought-provoking discussion groups. For most of our students the CANSTAY International School is the first experience overseas, and for that reason we take special care to ensure a smooth entry into a foreign culture.

CANSTAY International is a homestay study course designed for Japanese people. It focuses on developing language skills necessary for international communication. Our course helps students gain international experience and the confidence to use English in their lives. We are proud that many of our students have come back to Japan with great confidence. We also note with some pride that a high percentage of our students have gone on subsequent trips abroad on their own, and many have found jobs in travel agencies and other internationally minded professions.

CANSTAY's courses are designed for Japanese students so they focus on the particular areas that Japanese students find more challenging. We have many different levels to meet your study needs. We have had many kinds of people join our course including students (JHS, HS, Coll. Univ.), business people, office clerks, homemakers and retirees. Some of our students have joined to improve their English for business, school, or just as a hobby.

The Niagara Falls Course has been open since 1989. Well over 300 students have joined, most from the Kansai and Chugoku-Shikoku regions of Japan.
